CHICAGO — April 27, 2022 — Combined Insurance, a Chubb company and a leading North American provider of supplemental insurance sold both directly to individuals and at the worksite, today announced that team member William Pishotta has been named a 2022 Employee Veteran Leadership Award (EVLA) winner by G.I. Jobs® magazine.

This year, EVLAs are being awarded to 27 U.S. military veterans who demonstrate “the finest qualities of our nation’s military, including leadership, teamwork, discipline, determination, adaptability, a strong work ethic, and a can-do attitude” in their post-military careers, according to the publication.

“This recognition truly is meaningful for me, because I’m passionate about helping veterans and military spouses transition into the civilian workforce and find purposeful careers,” said Mr. Pishotta, Combined’s Military Recruiting Program Manager and a U.S. Army veteran who completed two overseas deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. “It’s gratifying to do this important work at a company wholeheartedly committed to giving back to the military and veteran community.”

Combined launched its veteran recruiting program in 2010, hiring more than 5,500 veterans, military spouses, and their family members since then. The company also is a strong supporter of military and veteran-focused nonprofit organizations. Last November, for the fourth consecutive year, Combined Insurance Company of America was named America’s top Military Friendly® Employer ($1-5 billion revenue category) by VIQTORY, the publisher of G.I. Jobs®.

“We’re proud of William’s distinguished efforts in support of veterans and the military community,” said Rich Williams, President of Combined Insurance. “His work is representative of a purposeful, organizational commitment to recognize, appreciate, and nurture the skills and values that veterans bring to Combined. Veterans have made an incredibly positive impact on our company and will continue to contribute to our success in the years to come.”

Profiles of the 2022 EVLA honorees will be published in the July issue of G.I. Jobs. The magazine is offered free, both digitally and in print, to transitioning service members, veterans, and their families across the world.
