Summer Internship Program Welcomes 14 New Interns for 2018

This summer, Combined Insurance is welcoming 14 talented students to its 2018 Summer Internship Program. The company successfully re-launched its summer internship program in 2015, and like the past 3 summers, this crop of interns will immerse themselves into real hands-on experiences in marketing, actuarial, legal, finance, business operations, strategic programs office, training and development and worksite marketing.

2018 Interns

The insurance industry can be a fabulous place to launch a career, and Combined Insurance is doing its part to help make sure university students seriously consider the industry. The program also aims to provide meaningful summer work for these students while they gain real-world experience.

Interning at a growing company means endless opportunities to grow, make an impact, and offer expertise in the areas where students feel they can contribute.

Jeff Kelleherlink opens in a new window, Talent Management Specialist at Combined Insurance, welcomed the interns and kick-started their experience with an orientation and tour of the offices at Triangle Plaza.  He noted, “We are fortunate to have 14 high performing interns this summer at Combined Insurance, with at least one intern in each functional area.  Each of them comes from an exceptional university and brings positive energy and a variety of strengths.”

Dean Dounis, a rising senior at Illinois State University, is interning in the claims department. He hopes to gain a better understanding of the insurance industry as a whole. “My goal is to excel in the business world after graduation, and I’m thankful to Combined Insurance for helping me gain real world experience through this program.”

Marketing intern and rising junior, Madisyn Vuksinic from the IU Kelley Business School, looks forward to gaining a broader perspective of marketing’s role in businesses. “After graduation, I hope to help businesses solve problems and mitigate risks. I am grateful for this opportunity to explore all aspects of marketing and for the exposure to careers in the insurance industry.”

Congratulations to the 2018 summer interns, and the company looks forward to hearing about all the varied experiences and future successes!
