During this Season of Thanksgiving, We Truly Appreciate our Policyholders and Employees
Thanksgiving reminds us to take a moment to reflect on the things we are thankful for and to share our gratitude with those around us who make our lives brighter and happier. As the SVP of North American Operations at Combined Insurance, I’d like to take this opportunity to share how grateful I am to our policyholders and to the men and women in our company who serve them.
Customer service
Bottom line, our company’s most valuable asset is our policyholders. You trust us to be there for you when you need us most. You need us to answer your questions, provide quality service with a friendly experience, and most importantly deliver on our promise to continue to strive to make a positive difference during difficult times. It’s truly humbling to be able to help out in a time of need whether it’s to help with out-of-pocket expenses or a challenging life event.
We don’t take this responsibility lightly, and the Combined Customer service teams are working harder than ever to more consistently meet your needs and expectations. The Combined Operations and Claims teams understand our responsibility for providing service and support to our policyholders. Rest assured we are thinking every day about how to improve our customers’ experiences.
We are currently making several improvements and investments in our Customer Service and Claims centers including expanding our resources to improve wait times and the level of service. We are pleased that most of our customers who call in on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday have an average wait time of less than a minute. We are working to decrease our wait times for Mondays and Tuesdays (our busiest customer service days) in the coming months.
Our products
We continue to work on developing products we think will benefit our policyholders the most. Our SickPay Plus product provides support to qualified policyholders when they are sick or hurt and can’t work. Our Accident and Critical Illness products pay benefits directly to qualified policyholders when the unexpected occurs, and our Life Insurance products can help in the most difficult of times.

Our employees
I also want to express my gratitude to everyone who works here at Combined Insurance. I am fortunate and thankful to be surrounded by professionals who are committed to making Combined better for our policyholders whether that is effectively reviewing and processing a new application, handling a complex service request, processing premium payments efficiently and accurately, or most importantly, handling claims in a timely manner. Our customer service reps, many of whom have been around for more than 20 years, are our front line for handling policyholder and service requests and I especially appreciate their efforts to create a great customer experience.
I also want to recognize our Agents who work out in the field bringing our products to people all around the nation. I know their jobs aren’t easy, but I’ve noticed that the Agents who are successful are the ones who care the most about their customers. They truly want to offer them a little more security in an uncertain world with products that are right for them.
