On Saturday April 8, Luke’s Wings hosted their 6th Annual Heroes Gala to raise funds for service members who have been wounded in battle. During the program, Combined Insurance was honored with the ‘Community Impact Award.’ The award is presented annually to a foundation or company which emphasizes improving the military community by supporting nonprofits and their missions through extraordinary awareness and philanthropy efforts.
In attendance for Combined Insurance was Doug Abercrombie, Senior Vice President and Chief Agency Officer, who accepted the award on behalf of the company; Brad Bennett, President; and Bob Wiedower, Senior Vice President of Sales Operations and Military Programs; Stewart Zaid, Vice President and Regional Director; and Greg Thompson, Vice President and Regional Director. More than 375 supporters, volunteers, stakeholders, and veterans were in attendance.

The 6th Annual Heroes Gala raised more than $320,000 to support Luke’s Wings and their mission.
