Combined Insurance is pleased to announce the addition of Chris Martin as president of the company’s Worksite Solutions division, a full-service voluntary benefits carrier, effective June 20, 2011.

Martin joins Worksite Solutions with nearly 20 years of experience in management and development of worksite-style businesses including 17 years with Trustmark, a life and health insurer and employee benefits provider, where he helped build and subsequently led the company’s voluntary business unit through an eight-year period of significant growth.

“We see significant potential in our Worksite Solutions business,” says Doug Wendt, president, Combined Insurance. “Chris’s background and experience provide the leadership we are looking for to ensure we can realize that potential.”

In addition to his extensive experience, Martin holds a bachelor’s of economics from Yale University and a master’s of management in marketing and organization behavior from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

“The evolution of employee health and wellness benefits creates an increased need for employers to find ways to continue offering options to their employees without increasing the company’s benefit costs. In addition to an affordable portfolio of products, our Worksite division focuses on service, taking the responsibility and hassle out of the hands of the employer,” adds Wendt.
