Voluntary sales totaled $7.1 billion in 2015, up 3.6 percent over the previous year’s results, according to Eastbridge Consulting Group’s annual U.S. Voluntary/Worksite Sales Report.
“Annually, we recognize those companies that led the industry in voluntary sales growth,” says Gil Lowerre, president of Eastbridge. “This year among mid-size companies ($50-$100 million in voluntary sales), Combined Worksite Solutions, a division of Combined Insurance—a Chubb company, is the number one fastest-growing based on voluntary sales.” “This is not an easy task,” adds Lowerre, “and we congratulate them on leading the industry in the mid-size company category and for winning Eastbridge’s Voluntary Sales Growth Award for 2015.”
Carriers participating in Eastbridge’s annual U.S. Voluntary/Worksite Sales Report that have a minimum of $10 million in annual sales are eligible to be considered for the Voluntary Sales Growth Leader recognition. A company must also have exceeded the overall industry growth rate for each of the last three years and lead in sales growth for the current year.
“We are honored to receive Eastbridge’s recognition for the second consecutive year, which is a continued validation of Combined Insurance’s growth strategy and commitment to product innovation, service capabilities and responsive staff. We are grateful to our agents, brokers, and distribution partners, whose tremendous support have helped us to achieve this recognition,” says Chris Martin, president of Combined Worksite Solutions. “Looking ahead, we will continue to invest in our organization and expand our distribution reach even further as part of the new Chubb.”
Chubb announced last week that it has expanded the voluntary workplace benefits business of its Combined Insurance affiliate with a dedicated broker-focused channel. The new Chubb Workplace Benefits business unit combines the market leadership and experience of Combined Worksite Solutions, a division within Combined Insurance launched in 1996, with Chubb’s substantial relationships with leading national and regional insurance brokerage firms. Chubb Workplace Benefits is the new name for Combined Worksite Solutions’ broker-driven channel. The rebranding follows ACE Limited’s January 2016 acquisition of Chubb, which created a global insurance leader operating under the Chubb name.
