Combined Insurance has been designated a 2012 Top Military Friendly Employer® by G.I. Jobs
Glenview, IL — Combined Insurance announced today that it has been designated a 2012 Top Military Friendly Employer® by G.I. Jobs. This marks the first year the company has been included in the Top 100 Military Friendly Employers® list, which was drawn from a sample of 5,000 companies whose annual revenues exceeded $500 million. Criteria included the strength of company military recruiting efforts, the percentage of new hires with prior military service, retention programs, and company policies toward National Guard and Reserve service.
Combined Insurance supports its military veterans and National Guard and Reserves members with its Combined Military Council. The council provides outreach and professional development opportunities for employees with military backgrounds and assists them with the transition from military to corporate culture.
Some of Combined Insurance’s most accomplished employees as well as dynamic up-and-coming staff transitioned from the military. Combined Insurance looks for “military alumni” who are smart, innovative, responsible, team players and team builders, common traits for those who have worn our country’s uniform.
"This designation confirms what we believed when we launched our military recruiting efforts –military veterans are a great fit for our business and we are a great option for recently discharged veterans looking for a career in the private sector,” says Doug Wendt, president, Combined Insurance. “Everyone wins."
